If you love the look of beaded ropes using CRAW, PRAW, or RAW, you will love this alternate! This rope works up quickly and can easily be adjusted to larger diameters.
This pdf tutorial will show you how to make a twisted spiral rope using faux right angle weave (sometimes called MRAW). The tutorial includes both step by step photos as well as videos to make this an easy project for intermediate beaders. If you are a confident beginner already skilled with right angle weave, you should also be able to make this project with ease.
All you need to make this project are two sizes of seed beads. For the headband version, you will also need a 3mm headband blank. If you don't want to make a headband, add a clasp to make it a necklace or bracelet. Specific instructions for adding a clasp are not included, although suggestions are given.
