The current ArtBeads Blogging for Beaders theme is “Winter Enchantment”. Having just recently created an entry for the BeadMavens’ Ice Queen Challenge, I was a little bit stuck for doing another winter themed project. At Christmas, I had received a couple of ArtBeads gift cards, but had already spent them when the company announced that they now had Tila beads available. I had been wanting to play with them for a long time and this was finally my chance!
The first thing I did was decide which color Tila beads I wanted. I wanted them all, actually, but they are kind of pricey, so I just picked one. This was a winter challenge after all, and even though I am tired of the snow, I knew I had to go with white.
I love white and blue together for winter, so I checked out the seed beads (always a staple in my designs). I chose some different blues, still not knowing what I would do with it all. I got two finishes of denim blue, dichroic aqua blue, and a green lined montana blue, all gorgeous! As you can see, though, I ended up using some white 14/o beads I already had in my stash.
Being a sucker for all things bling, I headed over to the Swarovski page. I couldn’t resist getting these 3mm dark indigo AB 2X bicones. Thank goodness I ordered 100 of them, because I only had a few left when I was finished with this project.

*Please note: I have received the above items (the crystals and the Tila beads) free of charge from Artbeads. This is my honest review of the product and I have not been paid for my endorsement as it pertains to the products received.
