Thanks to Diane Fitzgerald and her Shaped Beadwork book! It was in learning how to make triangles and squares from the book that I stumbled upon this technique. This modified peyote stitch bail can be used with round or square donuts. The pdf pattern is 3 pages long, plus a blank graph (2 pages) for making your own pattern. Step-by-step instructions are included. Knowledge of peyote stitch is helpful, but not required. The pattern instructions show how to make the basic two color bail. Use the blank graph to chart a more complex pattern using the same technique.
